I’m here to help you feel less stuck, more whole, and genuinely supported.
I work with people who are feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or haunted by difficult experiences.
Whether that’s childhood trauma, identity-related distress, or just an ongoing sense that life is too much.
I’ll support you to make sense of your story, reduce the chaos inside, and start building relationships (with others and yourself) that feel more secure, calm, and real.

I’m Lynda, a slightly sweary, down-to-earth therapist who genuinely cares.
I’ve been in this work in one way or another for over 30 years.
I started out as a nurse, and I’ve spent two decades in the NHS, voluntary and care sectors, supporting people through emotional distress and trauma.
But if I’m honest, this work is also personal.
I’ve been through my own therapy journey after surviving significant childhood trauma.
It was long. It was hard. It changed everything.
The relationship I had with my therapist all those years ago, taught me that healing is possible, and that the right relationship can make all the difference.
That’s what I offer my clients now:
A space that feels safe enough to be real in. Where there’s trust, honesty, kindness, and a bit of humour too. Where you don’t have to explain or justify yourself. Where you can show up as you are; messy, anxious, brilliant, angry, numb, whoever and however you are that day, and know you’ll be met with respect and care.
Oh, and I’ve got a soft spot for dogs…
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy
Why choose me?
I intentionally work with a small number of clients so I can offer a high-quality, responsive service that includes preparation, reflection, supervision and continued learning, not just your session slot.

What past clients would say—if they could
I don’t use testimonials. Not because I don’t believe in the work I do, but because therapy is private.
Confidentiality, trust and integrity are the foundation of this work, and that includes how I show up online.
Clients often tell me they chose to work with me because I ‘get it’. The messy bits, the numbness, the not knowing where to start.
Therapy with me doesn’t require you to come in all sorted.
Clients often say they value...
A steady, calm presence
Someone who won’t flinch at the hard stuff
A kind, inclusive space where you don’t have to hide any part of yourself
A collaborative process.
I won’t tell you who to be, but I’ll walk beside you while you figure it out
Therapy that respects your identity, your pace, and your story

A few things I believe
- You matter. Full stop.
- Inclusivity isn’t just a value, it’s a practice.
- Therapy should be relational, not transactional.
- Understanding trauma is important, but being with someone who gets it is just as vital.
- Swearing and humour have their place in healing.
- Silence, messiness, and moments of “I don’t know where to start" are totally okay.
